About the challenge
Welcome to BioHacks Fall 2026, hosted by BioEng4Youth! This interdisciplinary bio-engineering hackathon challenges you to bridge the gap between biology, technology, and engineering. Over the course of the event, you will collaborate with like-minded peers to tackle real-world problems in healthcare, sustainability, and biomedical engineering. Whether you are writing algorithms for bioinformatics, designing physical prototypes, or conceptualizing the next big med-tech innovation, BioHacks is your platform to build, learn, and create a tangible impact.

Requirements
What to Build
We are looking for software, hardware, or conceptual bio-engineering projects that address modern challenges in the biological and medical sciences. Your project should ideally fit into one of our main tracks (e.g., Medical Diagnosis & AI, Genetic Engineering, Wearable Devices). Whether it is a machine learning model analyzing genetic data, a CAD model of a new prosthetic, or an app for patient care, we want to see your innovative solutions.
What to Submit
To be eligible for judging, your Devpost submission must include the following:
- Project Description: A clear explanation of the problem you are solving, how your solution works, and the technologies you used.
- Source Material: A link to your public GitHub/GitLab repository, or a link to your CAD/hardware schematics.
- Demo Video: A 2-3 minute video demonstrating your project in action. Upload this to YouTube or Vimeo and embed it in your submission.
- Team Roster: Ensure all team members are officially added to the Devpost submission.
