To help you hit the ground running, we've compiled a list of resources, datasets, and tools that are incredibly useful for bio-engineering and tech projects. You are not required to use these, but they are great starting points!
Tools and Technologies
- Software: Python (Biopython, TensorFlow, PyTorch), MATLAB, Java, and C/C++.
- Hardware/Robotics: Arduino documentation, Raspberry Pi resources, and ROS (Robot Operating System) basics.
- Modeling: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Fusion360 for hardware prototyping.
Inspiration
Stuck on an idea? Look into open-source biomedical devices, explore global health challenges outlined by the WHO, or look at past winning projects from MLH hackathons. Consider how you can apply concepts like reinforcement learning or structural minimalism to solve complex biological problems.
